It’s about that time again. The roses, the chocolate, the presents and the movies. It’s definitely about that time again. Valentine’s Day is coming up and there is something that Valentine’s Day cannot go without *drum roll* romantic movies.

Aashiqui 2 is the remake of a 1990 musical blockbuster Aashiqui. It tells the story of Rahul Jaykar (played by Aditya Roy Kapoor), a successful musician addicted to alcohol. Through a series of predictable events, he falls in love with Aarohi Keshav Shirke (played by Shraddha Kapoor), a talented bar singer. The movie explores relationships, encourages the audience to chase their dreams but above all, highlights the dangers of any type of addiction and the fall from grace. It is a Bollywood movie one should definitely watch. Whether you are single or in a relationship, Aashiqui 2 is a movie that will make you cry, make you laugh and then make you cry again.

Favorite Quote: “Aashiqui is just something you can’t explain, like the look of a rose, the smell of the rain, or the feeling of forever.”
